Dave Bunting MBE
Director of Training and Trainer
Dave is a former Warrant Officer with the Army's Physical Training Corps and specialist in Adventurous Training and Mountain Leadership. With over 20 year's experience, employed in various Mountain centres across Europe and North America, he has trained a huge variety of people from all ages and ranks within the British Service's including elite units such as The Royal Marines and Special Air Service (SAS). Dave has a huge passion for the mountains and has climbed worldwide including 11 Himalayan expeditions. The highlight being as overall expedition leader in an attempt to become the first Brits to climb the formidable West Ridge of Everest. As a result, in 2007, Dave was awarded an MBE for his outstanding leadership.
Dave is a German Army Alpine Mountain Guide as well as a summer and winter mountain leader. He has the Mountain Instructors Award and is a qualified BASI ski instructor in 3 disciplines. Dave has also picked up numerous British Services outdoor qualifications. He holds the Memebership Award in Leadership and Management from the City and Guilds of London Institute. This is comparable to a Masters Degree within the National Qualifications Framework.
